Dr. David Cheung

Dave was a graduate student in the group between October 1999 and September 2002. Dave working on atomistic simulations of liquid crystal mesophases and developing new techniques for the calculation of liquid crystal material properties.

Dave’s work was sponsored by an EPSRC DTA award. After leaving the group, Dave took up a PDRA post in Germany in the group of Prof. Dr. Friederike Schmid. Dave is currently working at the University of Warwick in the research group of Prof. Mike Allen.

Dave’s thesis on “Structure and properties of liquid crystals and related molecules from computer simulation” is available on-line.
