Lorna (Dr. Lorna Stimson)

Lorna was a graduate student in the group between October 1999 and January 2003. Lorna worked on developing models to understand the molecular structure in the bulk phase of side chain liquid crystalline polymers and liquid crystalline dendrimers.

Lorna’s work was sponsored by the UK research council EPSRC through a DTA studentship. After leaving the group, Lorna took up a PDRA position in the group of Prof. Demetri Photinos in Patras, Greece. She is currently working as a PDRA in Finland in the Biophysics and statistical mechanics group at the Helsinki University of Technology.
